Ready to serve, these smoky, creamy little explosions of flavour are a new experience for many of the most discerning foodies.  They make a wonderful addition to a luxury fish pie and can combine with a wide range of ingredients to make lovely salads and canapés.

Wine vinegar with several different blends of herbs and spices create these rather more refined version of the pickled egg – why not prepare a few sole goujons and some straw potatoes as a starter, with a luxury ‘chip shop’ style pickled quail egg on the side?

Scotch quail eggs
These are hand made to order in small batches and can be collected or sent by post, although the vegetarian versions are more delicate than the meat or fish and may not arrive in the best condition.  Varieties currently available are:

  • Traditional butcher’s pork sausage meat
  • Smoked salmon with fresh herbs
  • Smoked haddock with parmesan and herbs
  • Spicy green lentil*
  • Mock Goose (red lentil, sage and onion, based on an old wartime recipe)*

Post and packaging is £6.99. All our produce is sent by post in robust recyclable packaging designed to keep your purchases safe and cool.  We generally dispatch on Thursday by First Class post.  If you wish to collect on Saturdays, please call to arrange 01403 820796.
